MEET THE FOUNDER
Ann Smith, RN
Founder of Carewann
Carewann was founded by Ann Smith, RN, whose journey in healthcare began at the age of 17 as a nurse assistant in a nursing home. That early experience shaped her understanding of what compassionate care truly means during life’s most vulnerable moments.
Over the years, Ann’s career expanded through multiple roles, including nurse assistant, staffing and care coordinator, licensed practical nurse, registered nurse, care manager, and director.
With more than 25 years of experience across pediatric, geriatric, and home health care settings, she developed a deep appreciation for the impact of personalized care delivered in the comfort of home.
Carewann was created from that foundation—a commitment to providing care with heart and genuine human connection.
Outside of her professional work, Ann enjoys spending time in nature with her dogs, practicing yoga, gardening, and exploring holistic approaches to health, including nutrition, natural health practices, and functional medicine. Her personal philosophy reflects a belief that care should nurture the whole person.
